Berrie Pavilion at
Holy Name Hospital |
Russ Berrie became a long-time supporter of Holy Name Hospital through his friendship with Sister Patricia Lynch, the CEO of the hospital who was instrumental in transforming it into a premier northern New Jersey health care institution during her tenure. The Foundation’s funding began in 1988 and in 2001, it awarded a major grant of $ 4 million to the hospital to build and equip the Sister Patricia Lynch Regional Cancer Center.
The Center is housed within a new building - The Russ and Angelica Berrie Pavilion, a four-story, 20,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility.
The Sister Patricia Lynch Cancer Center offers cancer patients the unique opportunity to receive cancer diagnosis, treatment and support services within a single integrated facility. The Foundation’s donation was the largest ever made to a Catholic hospital in New Jersey. The Foundation also gave $1 million to the Hospital’s Millennium Campaign in 2005.
Holy Name Hospital is a fully accredited, not-for-profit community hospital located in suburban Teaneck, New Jersey. Founded and sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace in 1925, the hospital has grown to become a comprehensive 361-bed medical center offering the most modern medical technology coupled with an enduring tradition of compassion and respect.
